With the summer holidays coming up, we recognise that it may be hard to keep both yourself or the children entertained. We have created a top 7 list of things to cure this! We have included a variety of different activities for people with different interests and ages.
1. Beach Fest Liverpool One
Until the 31st August you can soak up the sun in Chavase Park, which has been transformed into a beach bringing the heart of the seaside to Liverpool One. Access to the beach is free, with fun fair rides, darts and Tiki Game for an extra price. This event is perfect for a family day out
2. Otterspool Adventure Summer Festival
Also running till 31st August, Otterspool Adventure is offering a non stop day of happiness and fun for the little ones. From 10am to 6pm everyday, there is outdoor fun for the whole family. Activities include foam parties, indoor discos, crazy golf and go karts. Perfect to keep the kids entertained for the full day.
3. Salt & Tar Weekender
Returning once again to one of Liverpool’s iconic outdoor venues is Salt & Tar Weekender. This major music weekend running from 13th August to 17th August, includes headline acts such as Billy Ocean, The Waterboys, The Saw Boys and Nile Rodgers & Chic. Watch the sunset, with a drink in hand and listen to some amazing music this world has to offer. Tickets can be bought via TicketMaster, with many price options available.
4. Lewis Capaldi – In The Park
Singer of hits such as Someone You Loved, Bruises and Before You Go is making his headline debut at In The Park Festival, Sefton Park this summer on 15th August. The highly anticipated concert is bound to break the soundwaves through the city, with many excited fans ready to sing along to his songs. Tickets can be found via TicketMaster.
5. The Reader Open Air Cinema
Enjoy magical summer nights in The Readers, Mansion House Garden, as they show many iconic films we have seen released throughout the years. Bring your campchairs, open the fizz and order freshly made food for the screening. All profits made from the Open Air Cinema go towards their charitable work transforming lives through the power of Literature. From Romeo & Juliet and Back To The Future, there are also ‘mini movies’ such as The Gruffalo and The Highway Cat for the little ones to enjoy too. 6. Royal Albert Dock celebrates 180th Anniversary
Prepare to be dazzled with projections shone across The Maritime Museum celebrating the cultures, life and memories from the dock. The light show will run from 21:00 to 23:00, created by Liverpool’s Own Mark McNulty. Available to watch until 31st August.
7. Liverpool Indoor Funfair
Running from 14th August to 24th August, Liverpool Indoor Funfair will take over the Exhibition Centre once again, offering jaw-dropping rides and amazing attractions for all ages. Quiet session on the 15th August at 10am. There is a cafe on site serving hot and cold food, along with your traditional funfair snacks such as candyfloss abd popcorn. Wristband prices start from £13.99 for unlimited access to rides for your chosen time slot.
