American singer-songwriter Hannah Wicklund is set to light up Merseyside’s music scene this autumn. She is ready to bring her Rock N Roll Fairy Flare to the UK in support of the release of her new record War on Women; Calling All Good Men. Her performance will take place at the O2 Academy 2 on 2 October 2026.

The new album War on Women; Calling All Good Men is her third studio release. It was issued by her independent label Strawberry Moon Records and consists of 13 new tracks written, recorded and self-produced by the artist. The album is a call to action for change and was created during a turbulent period in the artist’s life and career. The message of the album is clear: “…If you’re a man, start taking a stand, ‘cause only then will we call you our brothers.” She also adds:

“I want it to be abundantly clear that I am not anti-men. These are not just women’s issues; they are society’s issues and finding a solution will involve all of us.”

The album as a whole reflects Hannah’s adventure in the music industry. She states:

“They poured out of me. For years, I hadn’t finished one song. Every time I tried, I got depressed not knowing how or when they would reach the world. Suddenly, I rediscovered the pure joy of making music. And the more I wrote, the less angry I became. The songs were a place to park my rage.”

The newest record is set to be released on 28 August and, what makes it special, is that it represents a brand-new era for the artist. This entire project was completely funded by her paintings and artworks. Its songs are steeped in questions of right and wrong and are a mix of live takes and finely crafted studio tracks. Devin Vaughan, an engineer based in Charleston, helped develop this album: he both engineered the recording and played drums on the record.

War on Women; Calling All Good Men is her third album, following The Prize, released in 2024, and her debut album Hannah Wicklund & The Steppin Stones, published in 2018. Both albums received critical praise from a variety of publications.

Tickets for the Liverpool show are available via seetickets.com and ticketmaster.co.uk. Early booking is recommended due to limited venue capacity. The event starts at 7pm.
